Celebrating 43rd HAGC
Hafa dai, (Hi/Hello) Players, Family, Friends (Familia yan Atungo).
On behalf of our Hafa Adai Golf Classic (HAGC) Board of Directors (BOD), and members, we welcome and thank you for participating in our 43rd HAGC Tournament. Our annual ‘Classic’ tournament provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy two rounds of competitive amateur golf and fellowship with family and friends. We are appreciative and grateful for your participation in our Classic tournament and social events. Especially to those who travel from afar. We hope that your visit will be enjoyable and pleasant.
Last year, we expanded our Classic Tournament outreach to the East coast! We envisioned connecting with our family and friends throughout the US. Founded in 1982, our ‘Classic Tournament’ was originally planned to be held in CA and the Marianas Islands. Chamorro Golf Club of WA State partitioned and was included in our HAGC in 1993. Now, here we are in South Carolina in 2026 with SEHCGC.
We commend and thank our Southeastern (SE) Hita Chamorro Golf Club for joining and hosting our ‘Classic’ tournament this year. Mr. Dave Salas, President, Officers, Tournament Director, Committee, and associates have done wonderful work in planning to ensure a successful and memorable HAGC tournament.
As usual, we reflect on our modern HAGC and pay homage and gratitude to the late Mr. Sy Unpingco, Chair, and the founding members of our revered HAGC in 1982. Their passion and vision for golf and CHamoru culture celebration have left us with a ‘Classic’ legacy that has continued through the years.
