Announcement: Please note changes to Pre-Registration

We’re planning for 160 to 180 players.  The players will be divided into four (4) flights A, B, C & D.  The tournament field will be divided into two groups, A & B. Group A will play Cherry Island and Group B will play Teal Bend on Day 1.  The groups will switch courses on Day 2.
Four flights (A – D)
A Flight: 0 – 8
B Flight: 9 – 16
C Flight: 17 – 24
D Flight: 25 – 32

Players without a handicap will be placed under the Callaway system for the first round. The first-round score shall determine the player’s handicap for both rounds.

Players age 65 and over and players whose age and handicap equal 85 and over who opt to play from the senior tees, will go through handicap revision by applying the procedures stated in Appendix A, HAGC SOP.

Participants are provided the following accommodations: shared cart, practice range for warm up, check-In assistance, cart assignments and signage and score cards with names.

National Hole-in-One Price Awards on two Par 3 holes.
Cherry Island GC, Hole #10 – $5,000
Teal Bend GC, Hole #9 – $5,000

Hole-in-One Competition

The hole-in-one par 3 competitions are the par-3 holes #10 at Cherry Island GC and #9 at Teal Bend GC.  The hole-in-one Grand Prize is $5,000 for each par 3. All players, except professionals, will be eligible during the rounds.  Multiple hole-in-ones on hole #9 at Teal Bend and hole #10 at Cherry Island in any of the rounds will each win the $5,000 prize money.  To be eligible all men must tee from the designated white tee markers. The ladies participating must tee off from not more than 15 yards less than the men’s distance but no less than 135 yards.

The tournament field will be divided into two groups, A & B.  Both courses will be played simultaneously. Group A will play Cherry Island GC on Day 1, June 26th, and switch to Teal Bend GC on Day 2, June 27th.  Group B will play Teal Bend on Day 1 and switch to Cherry Island GC on Day 2.

Tournament Pre-Registration

Tournament Pre-Registration including the side-action participation will be conducted at the Teal Bend GC during practice rounds on Monday and Tuesday, June 24th and 25th.

Teal Bend has a tournament Monday morning, June 24th, starting at 7:30 AM and will be letting players out around 11 AM.

The Cherry Island GC will be hosting the Sacramento Jr. Golf Tournament Monday and Tuesday, June 24th and 25th. The pro shop will not be letting players out until after 12PM.

Practice Rounds, Monday and Tuesday, June 24th and 25th at both golf courses.

DRESS CODE

  1. These are “Soft Spike Only” facilities. No metal spikes allowed.
  2. 2. Appropriate golf attire will be worn at all times during the two-day tournament.
    There will be no abbreviated shorts, tank tops, gym shorts, etc., allowed to be worn as outer garments on the golf course or in the club house.
  3. 3. The attire for the awards banquet ceremony should be appropriate and fitting for the occasion.  There will be no blue jeans, haltered tops, short shorts, etc., allowed at the ceremony. Island wear, polo-type shirts, short-sleeve shirt, long-sleeve shirt, etc., are preferred and recommended.

GOLF ETIQUETTE

  1. Any player whose entry fee is accepted shall be subject to the USGA/HAGC Rules of Play and the Terms and Conditions set forth by the hosting club and/or the Hafa Adai Golf Classic will be implemented.
  2. Any act of un-sportsmanship conduct, including the use of obscene or abusive language, may be subject to disqualification by the hosting club and approved by the Hafa Adai Golf Classic Board of Directors.
  3. Any player who is found guilty of flagrant violation of tournament rules; including slow play,
    Erroneous posting of scores, unethical conduct etc., may be subject to assessment of penalty
    stroke for the infraction or the disqualification at the advice and approval of the Hafa Adai Golf
    Classic Board of Directors.
  4. Players are requested to repair ball marks on the green.

 

SIDE ACTIONS BETS (Skins and Closest to the Pin (KP) at Registration

  1. Side actions are for each day of the tournament and at each golf course. Players have the option to include the side action fees with their entry fee. Another option to participate in the side actions will be during the practice rounds and pre-registration on Monday and Tuesday and on Wednesday morning before 7:30 AM.
  2. Cost for both skins and closest to the pin (KP) for two days is $80 per player. Players have the
    Option to participate in only one side action.
  3. Skins and Closest to the Pin will be separated by flight for each day and at each golf course.
  4. There will be one winner per flight for the closest-to-the-pin (KP) for each Par 3, each day and at each of the golf courses.
  5. The payoff will be based on the monies received per flight and per day.

Other Side Action Games

Two day net total for senior players 50 – 64 yrs. and under and super senior players 65 yrs. old and over.  Entry Fee is $10.00 for both days and will be collected during registration. Payouts will depend on the number of participants.

Big Skin: Open to all participants and is inclusive to all four flights, i.e., not a flight event.

Entry fee is $40 ($20 for the 2-day tournament at each of the golf courses).  Note that the skin winner(s) will be determined after the two rounds have been played at each of the golf courses.
